A common wear item on FSI engine
This fuel pump cam follower is a common wear item on FSI engines. Most commonly this follower will fear out causing issues with the high pressure fuel pump system. This follower ride on the cam transfers energy to the HPFP. Worn followers have been known to have holes worn through them.
We particularly recommend regularly inspecting this follower to ensure that it is in good shape. This is especially important on modified engines that are running more than average boost levels.
